I&RS

Intervention & Referral Services is one heck of a complicated mess. If you are a first-year teacher, or new to a district, it may take awhile to learn the process your school goes through. I am still learning this process as I filled out my first form to I&RS one of my freshman students the other day. Part of this is ensuring that this student does not continue to struggle, but can receive some interventions necessary for him to succeed. The other piece is pure collaboration. It is a lot of work to do, and can be very overwhelming.
